It’s official: the next Redline Club GMC Typhoon drop from Hot Wheels is scheduled to arrive in the next few days, on August 12, 2025. To be able to purchase this truck, you MUST be an RLC member. Membership cost is $9.99 a year when you sign up on the HW RLC website. Like the last RLC GMC Typhoon release, these will most likely sell out insanely FAST. Hot Wheels Syclone 2025

Get ready, a new Hot Wheels Syclone 2025 mainline will be coming soon! We dont have any detailed information yet on the release dates. The limited pictures on the internet show the new colorway in a purple or violet color for the main body color, some teal striping, green tinted windows, and white cladding.

Ever since Hot Wheels released the GMC Syclone, it has been a popular diecast among collectors and seemingly sometimes very hard to find in the store. Rest assured, you will most likely be able to buy this mainline release all over the various marketplaces. Keep an eye on eBay, as you usually will start to see unspun versions for sale before the packaged release is available.

Johnny Lightning Collectors Tin 2025

The new Johnny Lightning Collectors Tin 2025 will be featuring a 1992 GMC Typhoon that will come as a Version A and B release in 2 colors – red and metallic green. From what is available online from diecast collectors and resources, the Version A release will happen in January of 2025. Pre-orders are available on numerous websites and prices are from $65.00 for a single tin and $135 for both tins.

Hot Wheels GMC Typhoon

With the release of the GMC Syclone in 2020, it was anticipated that Hot Wheels would release a version of the GMC Typhoon soon after. It has been a 4-year wait, but we now have a release date from Hot Wheels! Launching on August 20, 2024, the 1:64 diecast of the GMC Typhoon will be available for purchase. But, there’s one small restriction: it’s only for Red Line Club members. Yes, you read that correctly. You will not be able to hunt for a Hot Wheels Typhoon on the shelves of your local stores. Instead, Hot Wheels is doing the release as part of their Red Line Club membership for $25.00 per truck.

The Hot Wheels® Red Line Club® (RLC) is an annual premium membership for members of HotWheelsCollectors.com (HWC). For a membership fee of USD $9.99, Club members enjoy valuable advantages plus features of the website not available without Club membership. Also, for an additional $25.00 (plus shipping, processing, and tax), Club members receive the Membership Car Kit.

This GMC Typhoon diecast being released will be a premium with much more details that what you would find in the mainline series in stores. The paint features, engine bay, and interior showcase much more detailed work. The wheels used are of better quality as well.

Expect these to sell out quickly even if you are in Red Line Club. If you’re hoping to score one off someone or maybe waiting to you see them for sale on the internet, pre sales have already been put on on Ebay and Facebook Marketplace with prices exceeding $100 on some ads.

Hot Wheels The 90s Syclone

It seems like we’ve been making quite a few of these posts recently, but here comes another diecast release! The Hot Wheels The 90s Syclone is the next mainline version to be available in stores. Hot Wheels got a bit wild on this paint scheme compared to previous releases. The truck is painted white with zebra stripes in the cladding area, and it has a pink and teal stripe down the body. Like previous mainline releases, there will be a matching paint scheme of the truck on the standard Hot Wheels blue cardstock. This will be available in both a long and short card.

Hot Wheels Boulevard Syclone

Coming out soon is the new Hot Wheels Boulevard Syclone diecast! This will be a premium so you will see a nicely designed card stock with the Syclone colored in a turquoise and white stripe “Marlboro” paint job. Images show that it will have Real Riders wheels with a metal body and base plate.

Because this is a premium release, expect to pay between $12-14.00 at stores. Since Hot Wheels released the Syclone diecast in 2020, it has been a popular model among collectors and customizers. This usually makes it very hard to find one hanging on the rack in the stores. Like all previous releases, you will most likely find them for sale across eBay or on Facebook marketplace.

At the time of this post, the Boulevard Syclone will have been Hot Wheel’s 10th release on the GMC Syclone diecast. Previous color releases have been in black, red, Marlboro (Car Culture), blue, zamac (raw metal), Borla (black), yellow (Kroger exclusive), Mystery (black with red, teal, and white stripes), and teal which was part of a multipack.

Hot Wheels Syclone Series

Ever since Hot Wheels came out with the Syclone diecast, they have been a hot item for owners and HW collectors to grab. We found a great picture chart of all the current releases that Hot Wheels has done on the Syclone to date. If you are missing any, we have seen that you can find most of these easily on eBay or Facebook marketplace. Prices will vary.

For those not in the know, HW did announce a GMC Typhoon release this year that will be done exclusively with their Red Line Club membership. This means that you will NOT find the Typhoon hanging on the shelves, rather you have to be a club member…which doesn’t secure you in getting one either. I’m told the RLC releases get scooped up quickly, making them a challenge to get. Rest assured, you will probably find them being sold on eBay or FB marketplace for a small fortune.

Hot Wheels Syclone Conversion

With the Hotwheels Syclone release gaining popularity among owners and enthusiasts, we’ve seen numerous photos of collectors and hobbyists customizing the trucks with unique paint and wheel modifications.

Check out this video where Garasi Koe shows us how he took a Syclone and did a conversion to a Typhoon! The result looks fantastic and we can only hope that maybe Hotwheels is paying attention and will do a future release themselves of the GMC Typhoon!

Hot Wheels Syclone Update

Back in September 2019, we dropped pictures and information regarding Hot Wheels diecast coming out with a 2020 release of the GMC Syclone. There was limited information but the Hot Wheels Dream Team did post a few pictures of a 3D-printed prototype model of the truck.

There has been another update from the Hot Wheels Dream Team with pictures of the truck in paint and showing its iconic door and tailgate Syclone/GMCTruck logos. HW Dream Team has not mentioned if this is the final version of the truck that will go into production, but from what we can see already, they have done a great job of stuffing as much detail as possible into 1:64 scale diecast.

New Hot Wheels Syclone Diecast

In recent news, diecast toymakers Hot Wheels seem to be working on an upcoming release of the GMC Syclone for 2020! Posted on the social media platform Instagram via @hotwheelsdreamteam are a few pictures of a rough 3D-printed Syclone. While not much-written information is given on any dates, colors, or details in Hot Wheels posts, we are still excited to see another toy line pick up the iconic truck for their product lineup.

Previously, the only GMC Syclone diecast that has been available on the market was from Johnny Lightning. Along with the Syclone, Johnny Lightning also has versions of the GMC Typhoon as well. We hope that Hot Wheels will also release their version of the GMC Typhoon to complement the Syclone. We all know it’s hard to have one without the other!
